12 – A song from your favourite album
This in an interesting question, in this day and age, cause do we really buy albums any more? Lately I’ve been buying one off songs on Itunes. Of course lately, most of my purchases have been for writing purposes – harp music for Rogue Gadda and twenties blues and jazz for a short story I’ve been doing.
Anyway, onto the album. This is a hard one, cause I’m not sure there’s a particular album that still reaches me and gets me. Most recently, there’s been Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, which I loved. A couple of years ago, I was playing Green Day’s American Idiot over and over again.
But for an album that still comes to mind three decades after I first heard it, the answer is Abba’s Arrival. Here’s a song from that:

Is this supposed to be a song that you use to fuel your anger, that resonates with you, or that you use to try and make you feel better. In terms of resonating, a song that makes me scream with remembered rage is Alanis Morissette’s You Oughta Know.
